Grant-Deuel School Superintendent Grant VanderVorst says two-thirds of district residents responding to a recent survey are open to having the school board look into a four-day school week.

VanderVorst says the next step is a community meeting to get more public comments.

No date has been set for the meeting, which VanderVorst says likely will include remarks from administrators in the neighboring Deuel School District in Clear Lake.

Deuel has had a four-day school week for the past two years.
